What is the High Performance Foundation?

The High Performance Foundation is a charitable organisation dedicated to helping young people develop the skills they need to succeed, no matter the struggles they may face, and secure themselves a positive future.

Mental health issues are more prevalent amongst young people today than ever before. In the UK, 1 in 6 children aged 5 to 16 have a probable mental health disorder and 50% of homeless young people and 50% of children in care are reported to have a mental illness.

By providing learning tools and specialist workshops created using the expertise of teachers, youth workers and mindset coaches, the High Performance Foundation aims to help young people develop skills such as:

  • Resilience
  • Confidence
  • Self-worth
  • Responsibility
  • Growth mindset
  • Combating failure

These not only prepare them for working life but also build their mental well-being so they can thrive personally. With an improved ability to tackle challenges that life throws at them, they can set their sights high for the future.

The foundation will reach children with their High Performance Curriculum - a free resource provided to schools - as well as training and wellness support for teachers. They will also reach selected groups of children who are not in mainstream education and particularly need this support through bespoke workshops.

These resources have been designed to reach young people from underserved backgrounds to improve social mobility in the UK.

Who's behind the High Performance Foundation?

The foundation has been set up by the team behind the popular High Performance Podcast which has over 1 million regular listeners. Hosted by Jake Humphrey and Damian Hughes, they pick the brains of high achievers such as Arnold  Schwarzenegger to unveil how they secure success to inspire and motivate listeners. In their own words, they "turn the lived experience of the planet's high performers into your life lessons".

The High Performance Foundation has been crafted with this in mind. The educational material transforms content from their award-winning podcast into life-changing programmes that resonate with young people, especially those who are struggling.

accessplanit and the High Performance Foundation

Becoming a Founding Patron is an incredible opportunity for accessplanit to give back to our community and invest in the future. We're incredibly excited to be a part of the High Performance Foundation's journey and to play a role in empowering young people to succeed.

Dave Evans | Managing Director, accessplanit

How is accessplanit helping the High Performance Foundation? We are proud to be a Founding Patron, meaning we will help support their initial projects. Through this partnership, we have committed £10,000 over the next 12 months to help them empower young people to reach their full potential.

We see this as an invaluable opportunity to invest in the future, which is so important to us. We have four core values, which are:

  • Never give up
  • Learn and improve
  • Own it
  • No arseholes

We embody these in everything we do, from onboarding new employees to signing new customers and our everyday operations. Our values align with the purpose of the High Performance Foundation, as they encourage and empower young people to take accountability through self-improvement and hard work.

Continuing our positive impact

As proud members of Pledge 1%, all staff across accessplanit dedicate 1% of their time to good causes in the community or charitable work, with dedicated volunteering days included in their employment contract. Alongside this, we donate 1% of all company profits to good causes across the year. Read about our latest fundraising activity here.

We are also a proud sponsor of Lancaster City FC's Dollies in the Community initiative, who donate match tickets, provide activity books for local schools and run regular events such as weekly walking football sessions for older fans.

So, being a positive force in our community is a value that we take seriously and we are proud to expand this with our partnership with the High Performance Foundation, which will enable children and young people across the UK to be the best they can be.
