Feature focus: most impactful feature of 2024
This year, we released 42 new features to the accessplanit platform! Each year, we like to highlight ones that made the most impact to our customers. This year, that was our consolidated emails feature:
Consolidated emails are - you guessed it - multiple email consolidated into one single email. Think bookings, cancellations, joining instructions - all organised into one message.
This means that our customers can communicate more efficiently with their delegates and their teams. It provides the recipient with a single source of information, a tidier inbox, and a better user experience!
For example - if someone was booking a training course for 6 of their employees and they chose to be the key contact to receive all information - they would receive 6 course confirmation emails, 6 joining instructions emails, 6 course reminder emails... The list goes on.
Another example for would be if someone was booking a course for 3 people that subsequently was cancelled, they would receive three separate emails (one for each delegate) to confirm the cancellation. This could create confusion and certainly email clutter and did not provide the best experience for the person booking!
Consolidating information and updates about multiple delegates into one email includes benefits such as:
Reduced email clutter 🧹
By consolidating emails, your customer and internal inboxes will receive a lower volume of emails! This not only streamlines communication but it also lowers the chance of important information getting lost.
Enhanced user experience 
For your customer, receiving a single, comprehensive email is not only more convenient but also enhances the overall user experience. It simplifies the process of understanding and responding to workflow-related updates.
accessplanit Connect 2024
We hosted Connect 2024 for the first time - an in-person accessplanit customer event!
From exploring our product roadmap and platform shortcuts, to enabling customer success and improving teamwork, our speakers shared loads of fascinating insights and the day flew by.
However, for us, the best part was being able to chat to so many of our customers in person and really get to know you and your businesses! It's impossible to overstate the value of face-to-face interaction and we loved meeting you.
A big thank you to our fantastic customer panel who were willing to share their experiences with everyone; your knowledge was fascinating.
And thank you everyone for coming - we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!
accessplanit Staff Summit
We hosted our third annual accessplanit Staff Summit - and we think it was the best one yet.
This years' Summit was centred around "high performance", as we are proud to be one of the founding patrons of the High Performance Foundation, part of the High Performance Podcast.
We had a day packed full of activities for our team. In between insightful talks and discussions around high performance and mindset, we had a space-themed escape room challenge, as well as a "Minefield" game where we helped our blindfolded teammates dodge the mines (star-shaped teddies).
Beth from the High Performance Foundation also very kindly hosted a reflective session as part of the day.
Overall, it was a great opportunity for the team to get together, gain insight from our fabulous speakers, and learn from one another.
State of The Training Industry Benchmark Report
It's our eighth year of releasing our State of the Training Industry Benchmark Report!
Our research helps training providers understand key trends in training delivery, technology, sales and marketing, as well as the challenges of the industry which change year on year.
Additionally, this is our third year surveying learners, to understand the training industry from their perspective and evaluate how their demands are being addressed.

Summer party
We held our first accessplanit summer party! The team took a well-deserved break at the beautiful Forrest Hills in Lancaster.
The day was filled with laughter and friendly competition, starting with a scavenger hunt through the picturesque grounds. We then stepped back in time for a nostalgic sports day, featuring classic games like the egg-and-spoon race - and let’s just say, the competitive spirit was alive and well!
We rounded off the day with a delicious BBQ and drinks, creating the perfect setting to unwind and reconnect with each other.
A big shoutout to Megan, our Head of People, for pulling together such a brilliant event - it was a day to remember! 💙
Sunday Times Best Places to Work
We were named in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work 2024! We're so proud of our culture and our product here at accessplanit.

Giving back
At accessplanit, we are proud to commit ourselves to Pledge 1%. This pledge means that all staff across the organisation dedicate 1% of their time to good causes in the community or charitable work.
Alongside this, we also donate 1% of all company profits to good causes across the year. We have a dedicated team that helps decide how best to help, and to ensure that the whole company are involved and playing their part.
This year, we've taken on the Cross Bay Walk to fundraise for Pendleside Hospice, we volunteered at Unique Kidz and Co's birthday party, and even had a full Charity Week - consisting of tidying up the local area by litter picking, and providing IT support for Bay Veterans Association. Here's what else we got up to:
The High Performance Foundation
One of our proudest moments this year was becoming a Founding Patron of The High Performance Foundation.
The foundation aims to tackle the youth mental health crisis and empower struggling young people with free educational resources.
Created by the people behind the popular High Performance Podcast, hosted by Jake Humphrey and Damian Hughes, this charitable foundation is dedicated to equipping young people with the skills they need to thrive.
As a Founding Patron, accessplanit has pledged to support their initial projects which align perfectly with our own core values!
We got the chance to visit the High Performance studios and meet the team behind it all - even recording our own podcast, which you can watch here!
Centrepoint
The 16th-20th of September 2024 was Charity Week at accessplanit. We capped it off with a sleep out at Giant Axe, the home of Lancaster City FC, to raise awareness and funds for homelessness charity Centrepoint.
It wasn't our most comfortable sleep but the team made it through the night and smashed our fundraising goal, raising over £1000!
Christmas Toy Appeal
We're proud to have been a part of Lancaster BID's Christmas Toy Appeal this year. 🎅🎄
In addition to donations from our team, accessplanit also contributed an additional £700+ towards new toys.
The toys were distributed via charities and hospitals over the festive period to the children who needed them the most this year. 💙
Sponsorships
In addition to our charity work, we are proud to sponsor two local sports clubs this year that do great work within the Lancaster community:
Lancaster City FC
We continued our sponsorship of Lancaster City FC this year!
This year was also the third year running of our sponsorship of LCFC’s Dollies in the Community initiative. They donate match tickets, provide activity books for local schools and run regular events such as weekly walking football sessions for older fans.
Lancaster Lions Basketball Club
We also continued our sponsorship of Lancaster Lions Basketball Club this year. Our Infrastructure Manager, Chris Hotchkiss, plays for the team. They compete in various basketball leagues in the local area.
What's next in 2025?
We have some big plans for platform updates coming in 2025, and we can’t wait to launch them! Plus, we’re thrilled to host our in-person customer event, Connect, this March. Be sure to stay tuned for all the latest announcements!
