Employer of the Year Nomination

accessplanit is a training management software house offering opportunities across different disciplines including project management, software development and customer support.

The clear themes that ran throughout the nomination included the fantastic level of support received from colleagues and management, the vast number of opportunities available to learn and develop and the high level of trust and value that is felt by staff.

"We are shown that we are appreciated and trusted." Emily, accessplanit apprentice

Dave Evans, MD at accessplanit said, “When I received the news that we had been shortlisted for Employer of the Year I was shocked. Shocked yet, not completely surprised."

"Employee satisfaction is so important to us here at accessplanit to ensure we have a happy and productive workforce. This is why we invest so heavily in our team in ways such as Lunch & Learn sessions, ongoing development opportunities which include apprenticeships, frequent satisfaction pulse checks and of course, social events in The Hub!

Staff are given the flexibility to choose how to learn and develop whether it is through structured training such as on-site courses, apprenticeships and online learning, or more unstructured such as attending industry events, reading and discussion groups.

The Hub offers a bookcase filled with everything from industry specific books to motivational literature, to customer service and success texts meaning the team can choose to learn more about the topics that resonate with them and that they want to explore further.

Emily recognised this learning culture remarking, "To be given dedicated time just to learn is fantastic and not something most employers do."

Summarising the nomination, Emily wrote, "accessplanit are certainly not averse to change, our opinions really matter and when we feel that something isn’t working we are given the control to make changes to it. It is very empowering to be trusted with this responsibility, given time to research and implement suggestions, and to not be micromanaged during the process, I really don’t think that many employers are like that!"
