What's new in accessplanit: October 2026.
How many different customers booked training with you last month? Who’s responsible for checking the arrangements for next week’s courses? Which trainers cover the region you’re expanding into?
These are everyday questions for training providers. Having the information and processes in place to answer them quickly can save your team a considerable amount of work.
Our latest accessplanit release focuses on making those everyday tasks easier, with improvements to course administration, task ownership, resource management and reporting.
Here’s what’s new and how it could help your training business.
Spend less time clicking between records
When you’re managing a course or responding to a customer, you often need to update several related pieces of information. Add a delegate, record a note, attach a file or create a follow-up task.
Our new Quick Add buttons let you take these actions directly from the record you’re working on, without navigating away.
For example, when reviewing a corporate customer’s account, you can add a note while the conversation is fresh, then carry on with what you were doing.
It’s a small change that makes frequently repeated tasks quicker, particularly for teams handling a high volume of bookings and customer enquiries.

Make course responsibilities clear from the start
When several people share responsibility for course administration, tasks can end up with the wrong person or need to be reassigned each time a course is scheduled.
You can now set up course tasks to go automatically to the person who creates the course or its designated administrator.
That means a task to check course arrangements can be assigned to the relevant team member as soon as the course is created. Your team spends less time allocating work, and everyone has a clearer view of what they need to do.
And when plans change, task dates can now be updated in bulk, saving administrators from opening and editing each task individually.

Find the right resources for your delivery area
For training providers operating across the UK, knowing which trainers and venues cover each area makes scheduling easier.
You can now organise resources by UK region and use that information to narrow down your search when planning a course.
A trainer covering several regions can be listed against each one, helping your team find relevant options without relying on someone’s memory or a separate spreadsheet.
It’s particularly useful when expanding into a new area, coordinating delivery across multiple sites or helping a new administrator get familiar with your resources.

Get a clearer picture of your customer base
A busy booking calendar tells you how much training you’re selling. Understanding how many different customers are booking tells you something else about your business.
Our new reporting option makes it easier to count unique customers, learners, trainers and venues.
For example, 100 bookings could come from a handful of large corporate accounts or a much wider mix of customers. Seeing both booking volume and unique customer numbers helps you understand what’s contributing to demand.
You can also distinguish individual learners from repeat registrations, giving you a clearer picture of how many people your training reaches.
These insights can support conversations about customer growth, repeat business and how your resources are being used.

See how your discount codes are being used
If you offer promotional codes or preferential pricing, you need an easy way to see which bookings used them.
You can now search, filter and report on discount codes directly within your booking data.
That makes it easier to review uptake of a particular offer and explore the results alongside your wider booking reports. For example, you could see how many bookings used a seasonal promotion code without manually checking individual records.

Make automated communications more predictable
Training providers rely on automated communications to keep learners and customers informed. The timing matters, especially when a message needs to follow a particular action.
A new workflow timing option keeps scheduled actions tied to the moment the workflow’s conditions were first met, even if the workflow instance is updated later.
This helps teams keep time-sensitive communications running as intended, with less need to investigate occasional delays.

Give learners a clearer next step
Resetting a password is a routine interaction, but it can interrupt someone who’s trying to book a course or access their learning information.
You can now customise the confirmation page shown after a successful password reset, adding helpful links and guidance.
That could mean directing someone back to their learner portal, helping them return to their booking or showing them who to contact for support. It’s another way to make the booking and learner experience easier to follow.

See what this could mean for your team
These improvements reflect the practical work involved in running a training business: keeping records up to date, assigning responsibilities, finding resources and understanding performance.
