Established in 2001, accessplanit provide training management software to businesses that deliver training, allowing them to take a fully integrated approach to every aspect of their business.

As a growing SaaS company, accessplanit are at a exciting stage in development, launching their product to the US market and aiming to more than double the customer base in the next 3 years.

We have fantastic opportunity for a Business Development Manager who wants ownership and control over their destiny, being responsible for generating sales in their own sectors with support from marketing and outbound sales.

The Role

 

Reporting to the Head of Sales & Marketing, your focus will be on developing long term relationships with major players in the training industry, providing solutions to their training administration challenges.

 

 After initial, thorough, training, duties will include:

  • achieving sales targets in line with company sales plan
  • generating, managing and closing major new business opportunities
  • prospecting and making sales calls to generate new business
  • working with the Head of Sales & Marketing to build and maintain a sales pipeline
  • preparing proposals & RFP responses
  • managing sales opportunities and the pipeline
  • keeping up to date with the product developments and new features

To be considered for the role of Business Development Manager you must have:

  • Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in sales
  • Experience selling high value solutions
  • Proven business-to-business experience
  • Experience selling remotely and face-to-face to end customers
  • A proven ability to manage the sales cycle
  • A proactive and customer focused selling approach
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Excellent written /oral communication

 

Experience of selling software, working in the training or education sector, using networking tools like LinkedIn and some form of sales training would be extremely beneficial for this role.

 

The position will be based out of our Lancaster office but will require some travel.

 

Salary

Dependent on experience with an uncapped commission scheme.
