Tesco accept society is becoming more tech savvy

2nd Aug - Supermarket giant Tesco is piloting free WiFi in a selection of its UK stores, and becomes the latest organisation to adapt its offering in order to reflect growing use of technology among members of the general public, and its target audience.

The retailer will trial the service in four stores, but expects to expand it across almost 3,000 UK sites, according to a report on the Telegraph website.

Dave Evans, commercial director at training management software developer accessplanit, commented on the move:

“This is just another sign that businesses, both large and small, are having to cope with the changing behaviour of society. Great for retail, but we’d like to see more training companies take this approach and appreciate the fact that people are comfortable booking courses online and receiving email confirmations. Things aren’t done over the phone or by letter anymore.”
